POSITION SUMMARY


Sales associates work in support of the store management to facilitate the completion of all store level tasks and performs a variety of tasks related to different areas of the store including food preparation, cash register duties, customer service, general housekeeping, and other sales floor related functions. To include Food Service Associate Essential Functions as described in the Food Service Associate Job Description.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Essential Functions Statement(s)


  • Greet customers with specified company greeting and give all customers prompt and courteous service in a friendly manner.
  • Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers.
  • Maintain knowledge of current promotions.
  • Receive and process cash or credit card payment. Operate Point of Sale machines.
  • Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts by customers, employees and vendors and know how to prevent or handle within existing company policy. Protect company assets at all times.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
  • Clean shelves, counters, and tables. Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in restrooms.
  • Follow correct vendor check-in procedure as directed by company policy.
  • Perform cigarette counts and maintain logs as directed by management.
  • Maintain correct cash levels in register and make timely cash drop per company policy and procedure.
  • Follow all safety procedures as directed by company policy.
  • Obtain, use and wear company approved safety equipment and apparel as directed by company policy.
  • Comply with laws and policies related to tobacco and alcohol sales.
  • Maintain fueling area with a focus on safety and customer service.
  • Insure the proper execution of all gasoline marketing programs.
  • Complete gasoline housekeeping functions, including cleaning, dusting, sweeping and emptying trash.
  • Replenish gasoline/fueling pump island supplies to insure in stock conditions at all times.
  • Properly clean equipment and maintain stock levels in the beverage area.
  • Report low stock levels to Food Service Staff.

Other Requirements:
Must have the ability to read and write fluent English and to speak effectively before customers and employees. Must be 18 years old. In accordance with state law, employees working in stores selling alcoholic beverages must be at least 21 years old.



Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
